A German Gothic Mace
Second Half Of The 15th Century

Entirely of iron, the head of four acutely pointed triangular flanges each showing copper brazing, incised with pairs of horizontal lines and drawn-out to a short scroll above and below, and with pointed spike of pyramidal form, on integral haft of tapering circular section widening and becoming square at the grip (some pitting overall)
57 cm.
