With rebrowned twist slightly swamped octagonal sighted barrels signed along the top flat (engraving refreshed) and dated along the bottom flat beneath, silver fore-sights, gold line at the rear of each breech and gold-lined touch-holes, tangs engraved with foliage and a line of beadwork, flat detented locks each with moulded border and signed on a gold oval plaque with an engraved border, engraved with foliage on the stepped tail and cock (one expertly repaired), blued safety-catches, large rollers and gold-lined pans, slender figured full stocks with chequered rounded butts, border engraved mounts finely decorated with foliage and comprising butt-caps and trigger-guards, the latter each in the French fashion and with urn-shaped finial surmounted by a pineapple, silver escutcheon opposite each lock engraved with owner's monogram 'WC', engraved silver barrel-bolt escutcheons, silver ramrod-pipes, set triggers, horn fore-end caps, and original ramrods, one with horn tip, the other with iron worm and threaded silver powder-measure: in their lined and fitted oak case with accessories including brass-mounted powder-flask with bevelled copper body and unusual hinged lid over the flint compartment on one side, the interior of the lid with facsimile trade label, the exterior with folding brass carrying handle of Chippendale form
