With earlier rebrowned octagonal sighted barrels each signed in gold along the top flat and serial numbered 2238 for 1794 (signatures rubbed), foliate scroll engraved case-hardened breeches each with platinum line and blued back-sight, foliate scroll engraved tangs, signed border engraved detented flat locks each decorated with scrolling foliage, dolphin hammers en suite (one a working replacement), engraved safety-catches, varnished highly figured half-stocks with angled chequered rounded butts, border engraved iron mounts comprising case-hardened ovoidal butt-caps each decorated with foliage around the retaining screw, swept foliate engraved blued trigger-guards each with pointed finial, vacant silver escutcheons and barrel-bolt escutcheons, adjustable set triggers, horn fore-end caps, original horn-tipped ramrods, and some original finish (2)
