With single-edged blade decorated with inlaid silver designs along the back over each side, the hilt overlaid in silver (some damage) nielloed with foliage, and characteristic 'eared' ivory grip-scales against shims of dark horn and secured by four transverse brass nails on dark horn washers (one missing), in original wood-lined silver scabbard entirely nielloed with scrolling foliage against punched grounds, one side inhabited by birds, the other dated and with owner's initials 'G.T.' beneath the locket, gilt locket and spherical chape cast and chased with foliage in relief, the former pierced and inhabited by a bird on one side, and hinged suspension loop on a mount cast, pierced and chased en suite
