With single-edged blade (some pitting) with narrow fuller along the back on each side, hilt of tapering octagonal section drawn-up to a gilt point at the rounded top and engraved with running foliage along alternate facets, the basal mount engraved with a stylised monster's head and foliage on each side, in original wood-lined silver scabbard with aperture for a bodkin (missing), curved faceted terminal, filigree top mount, and small faceted mount pierced for suspension
