A Moro Klewang
19th Century

With pattern-welded blade double-edged over a third of its length to the point, the forte chiselled with a dragon with a gold tongue on one side, its gilt scaled body and tail extending down the back of the blade on each side, hilt comprising silver basal mount forming the grip and embossed and chased with a trellised design of leaves on each side below embossed and chased foliage, and large horn pommel deeply carved and pierced with foliage (minor damage), in original two-piece wooden scabbard with silver mounts embossed with foliage against a punched ground, the locket with suspension hook
