Of iron, with rounded one-piece skull with low roped comb (two small holes) pierced with four pairs of small holes for lining laces, and around the back of the neck with dome-headed lining rivets, on the right a contemporary locking hook for the bevor, rear neck-guard of three articulated plates, and bevor and 'bellows' visor pivoting at the same points on each side, the former shaped to the chin and throat, and with turned and roped border struck with the Nuremberg mark, the latter with bevelled borders, pierced with horizontal vision slits above roping and with pairs of ventilation slots, and with lifting-peg on the right, the lower edges with recessed turned and roped borders
