A Fine Saxon Powder-Flask
Late 16th Century

With curved tapering ebonised wooden body of oval section carved with a pikeman on the front and with foliage on the back, each within a border of overlapping foliage, blued iron mounts (some loss of finish) including conical nozzle with sprung cut-off lever (tap missing), curved belt hook pierced at the bottom, six rings for suspension, and some original finish (some scattered pitting)
