An Arab Jambiya, And Cartridge-Belt
Circa 1920

The first with broad curved double-edged blade with medial ridge on each side, and waisted hilt entirely covered in silver set with silver beadwork and filigree borders, the back with punched Arabic inscriptions, in original wood-lined silver scabbard decorated en suite with the hilt on the outside, and complete with its embroidered leather and red fabric belt with applied white-metal cartridge-boxes en suite with the jambiya, one with hinged lid, the other of double tubular form with domed lids and pricker each retained by a chain; the second (one part detached) of silver, formed of numerous silver cartridge-holders linked together and each decorated with beadwork and filigree, and with circular buckle en suite (2)
