A Rare Tubular Powder- And Shot-Measure
By D. Egg, No. 1 Pall Mall, London, Circa 1820

Of brass, with adjustable plunger calibrated from 1 to 7½ Dr of powder and engraved 'One Dr AD = to 28 Gr TR Powder' on one side, and from ½ to 2½ Oz of shot and engraved '16 Drs make one Oz AD Shot' on the other, the signed body with threaded securing screw on one side and engraved 'A Charge for a single Gun weighing about 6½ lb. Or for a Double Gun weighing 7 lb. 2½ Drams of Powder 1½ Oz of Shot & so in proportion heavier or lighter'
