An Austrian Huntsman's Baldric
Mid-19th Century

Of dark green velvet faced in silver threads, the silvered mounts comprising the arms of Austria suspended on three chains from a stag's head, the latter cast and chased in the round, and with a silver mount with embossed and chased border of rocailles and bearing an applied coiled hunting horn, buckle, loop and terminal mounts en suite, and suspension straps each with silvered buckles and sprung hook
