Seven Rapier Pommels
Late 16th/Early 17th Century, Mostly German

Of iron and comprising three of slightly flattened barrel shape with integral buttons, one with grooved sides and retaining most of its original blackened finish, and another fluted and chiselled with a flower-head on one side, another of fluted form, another of faceted plummet shape with integral button, another of writhen globular form incised with double lines, and another of ovoidal form with four vertical grooves (some pitting overall); together with a group of Turk's heads of twisted iron, copper and brass wire, and four iron ferrules (a lot)
