An Indian Katar, And An Eastern Mace Head
The First 18th/19th Century, The Second Probably 16th Century Or Earlier

The first with tapering double-edged blade of reinforced diamond section at the point, cut with converging fullers on each side and with medial ridge, characteristic steel hilt decorated overall with engraved silver foliage and parcel-gilt flower-heads, tapering hollowed side-bars, and grips each swelling at the centre (some wear overall); the second of iron and in excavated condition, with heavy head of eight squat flanges surmounted by a button finial, on tapering haft of part octagonal section, and retaining traces of gold-inlaid decoration overall (2)
