The first with robust steel head with convex cutting-edge and waisted block-shaped peen, the main edges loosely gold-damascened with scrollwork inhabited by birds on the peen and on both sides of the socket, and domed finial on a cartouche-shaped washer, on slender tubular steel haft (minor damage) of octagonal section etched over most of its length between vertical lines, and with gilt bulbous terminal threaded and opening to reveal a long slender spike of square section; the second comprising a pair of all-steel axes each with crescentic blade, block-shaped socket, central spike and shaped peen loosely damascened with silver foliage (worn) inhabited by elephants on both sides of one blade, on tubular steel haft each with bud-shaped terminal, and a large crescentic axe-blade applied in brass on both sides with Indian figures within brass-inlaid arcades, and roughly chiselled with brass-inlaid foliage (4)
