The first (of which a related example is in the Royal Armouries, Leeds, inv. no. IX-1424) offered with typed correspondence and notes regarding the sword and its probable find site 'by some yob-de-hoys about 1956 in what used to be an old graveyard. This was in Rotherhithe'. A handwritten note by Blair states 'The graveyard is presumably that of Rotherhithe Parish Church, St. Mary's begun in 1714 presumably to replace an earlier church as it contains a monument to Capt. Anthony Wood (d. 1625) & 17th century plate'
The second, Wallis & Wallis, Sussex in or about 1969
