With broad double-edged blade, hilt comprising small silvered downbent shell-guard cast and chased with rocailles, straight quillons with foliate tips, fluted ferrule with central line of beading, white staghorn grip (old splits) shaped like that of a table knife and carved in relief with a prone stage in a wooded landscape on one side, and silvered pommel-cap with turned button, in associated Eastern scabbard of wood covered in black leather with silver locket and chape each embossed and chased with foliage against a punched ground, the former with two rings for suspension, the latter with bud-shaped finial
