A large Berlin cup and saucer

Circa 1865.
Decorated with a red border heightened by trompe-l'oeil pearls holding swags of pearl festoons alternating with roses and forget-me-nots, the central medallion with a crowned intertwined monogram AR for Augusta Regina, referring to Queen Augusta, the wife of Wilhelm I, the saucer 16.8cm diam, sceptre mark in underglaze-blue, KPM and orb in red, collection numbers in red 215:25A and B and 797K (2)

Footnotes

The late 19th century collection label in paper on the back reads: Kind of cup Empress Augusta used to give to friends when she was of Prussia, made before 1870 I bought it in the Royal (...) Factory probably being the only one left, the others haven all been given'.
Due to the Queen's crown above the initials AR, the cup must have been decorated before Augusta became Empress.
Another small paper label to the saucer reads: '797 City Art Mu[seum]'.
