The makers have kindly confirmed that the rifle was completed in 1932 as one of a group of three similar rifles. This particular example was retained for use as a pattern rifle by the makers until 1990 when it was sold to John Resteghini, who restocked the rifle with a higher comb for use with telescope-sights and fitted the low-profile 'scope. The original stock, bolt-head and trigger-mechanism were retained 'for originality', and are offered with the rifle
