The rolling-block action (defective) contained within a rounded brass body and with hinged brass cover, lanyard trigger, figured pistol-butt (broken and with old repair), the large two-stage barrel painted black and with full-length brass sighting-bar; the whole mounted on a pivoting cradle with rubber recoil-buffers and spigot, the latter fitting into a deck mounting
