Toplevers and ribs engraved '1' and '2', best bouquet and foliate-scroll engraving, cocking-indicators, articulated front-triggers, well-figured stocks (both shortened, No. 1 cracked at hand) with wood extensions, the Whitworth Steel chopper-lump barrels (No. 1 slightly loose on action) with game-rib engraved J. Purdey & Sons, Audley House, South Audley Street, London Made of Sir Joseph Whitworth's Fluid Pressed Steel
Weight 6lb. 15oz. (No. 1) and 6lb. 14¾oz. (No. 2), 15 3/8in. pulls (13 3/8in. stocks), 29½in. barrels, approx. ¼ & ½ choke (No. 1) and I.C. & ½ choke (No. 2), 2½in. chambers, London nitro proof (both left barrel-thicknesses below recommended minimum)
