The Maison Krieger was founded in 1826 by Antoine Krieger together with his brother Nicolas at 17 Rue Saint-Nicolas, Paris. moving several times, Known as Antoine Krieger & Cie. When Krieger's died in 1856, the company passed to his sons-in-law and became Cosse-Racault et Cie. Finally, after further name changes, it became Damon & Cie circa 1880, and moved to 74, rue du Faubourg-Saint-Antoine. The company made furniture in many styles, both contemporary and in the eighteenth century and Empire style. Antoine Krieger was awarded a 'Medaille de 2ieme classe' at the London Exhibition in 1852.
