signed L. Hottot, on a waisted cylindrical plinth inscribed ECHO, 83cm high

Footnotes

Hottot specialised in Orientalist scenes and figures, and many of his works were produced in spelter rather than the more traditional bronze. He exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1885 until 1898.
