the hull built up in plank on solid construction with the bottom of the hull left un-finished to show the planking and the trunnels, the topsides are painted black with an un-finished (bright) waist, the trailboards are carved and painted black, white and gold; the transom is decorated in a similar fashion. The decks are of basswood veneer with the planking lines drawn in India ink, and detailed with anchor chains, pin and fife rails, bell, deck rings, life rings, companionways, capstan, ladders, catwalk, funnel, paddle wheel boxes with framed paddle wheels, coils of line, stove pipes, hatches with deck gratings, binnacle, double wheel, and numerous other details. Rigged with a bow sprit and three masts, cross spars, tops and trees, standing and running rigging. Displayed on a pair of turned brass pedestals within a mahogany framed glass case.
