Early Qing dynasty
Of archaistic ding form, the finely cast body of compressed globular form supported on three tubular legs, the gilt-bronze rim surmounted by a pair of upright ring handles, the body and underside brilliantly enamelled with luxuriant flower heads in rich pink and blue, interspersed with green foliate scroll, enamelled principally in green, but highlighted in yellow, blue, pink and red, all against a brilliant turquoise ground, the legs with a cicada blade enclosing archaistic scroll.
