An Isleworth sauceboat, circa 1768-75

Of generous size with fluted sides and a smooth area under the lip embossed with a cartouche of prunus blossom, the sides moulded with further flowering prunus and pointed leaves forming panels painted in blue with a Chinese angler and a hut on a jetty, the same design repeated on the revere, the interior painted with a peony spray and distinctive ornament inside the lip, 19.5cm long (minor chips)
