A pair of Worcester sauceboats, circa 1765

Crisply moulded with so-called strap-fluting, the handles with pronounced thumbrests, painted in blue with the 'Fisherman and Billboard Island' pattern of Chinese fishing scenes within embossed cartouches, the interiors with peony sprays, 16.5cm long, crescent marks (One with section of footrim restored, the other chipped) (2)
