A Derby scallop shell pickle dish, circa 1770

Thinly potted and painted in bright blue with a floral spray and three smaller sprigs, a scrollwork border inside the rim, the neatly formed handle carefully painted with diaper designs, 11.8cm high (minute rim chip)
