Footnotes
Illustrated by Geoffrey Godden, English Blue and White Porcelain (2004), Pl. 148. This is the only known example of this pattern, on a very rare shape. It is illustrated by Lawrence Branyan, Neal French and John Sandon, Worcester Blue and White Porcelain (1981/1989), pattern I.A.27. Also illustrated by Geoffrey Godden, An Introduction to English Blue and White Porcelains (1974), pl. 21, fig. 101. This represents Worcester blue and white painting at its very best.
