Of plain baluster shape with a turned foot and S-shaped handle with a slight thumbrest, the bearded mask lip with a most unusual pierced top or strainer, printed in blue with 'European Landscapes', including farm buildings and classical ruins and ornaments, 17.3cm high, crescent mark (chipping to the rim associated with original kiln adhesion)

Toast and Water was a medicinal drink made using burnt toast and other ingredients mixed into a sweetened broth. It was poured from a jug with a straining lip. No other example of this curious shape is recorded at Worcester.
