A Caughley vine leaf pickle dish, circa 1780

Of small size with crisply moulded veins on the underside, printed in blue with fruiting vine and flower sprigs, the serrated rim with blue feathering, 9.5cm wide, printed S mark

Footnotes

This is a particularly well-potted example, where Caughley has used transfer-printing to copy a popular form of painted decoration used previously at Worcester.
