A rare Lowestoft sauceboat, circa 1765

Of quatrelobed oval form, moulded on both sides with three sprays of flowers, leaves and fruit picked out in blue, the rim and foot moulded with gadrooning similarly highlighted, a diaper border with floral panels below the interior rim, the spout with flowers and scrollwork, 16.9cm long, painter's numeral 3 (cracked)
