A Lowestoft bowl, circa 1760-62

Of Hughes type, crisply moulded with three circular panels alternating with bands of trelliswork flanked by fruiting branches and flowers, the panels painted in blue with Chinese landscapes, a scrolled border below the rim, the interior with a flower spray and a diaper border containing floral panels, 15.2cm diam, indistinct painter's numeral inside footrim (rim chip)
