An Isleworth fluted saucer, circa 1780-85

The reeded border moulded with thirty-two flutes, printed in blue with the 'Gilliflower' pattern of a central carnation, border sprigs and an insect, 16.2cm diam (broken and restuck)

Both this shape and pattern correspond with wasters found on the Isleworth site. The Gilliflower pattern also occurs on the Syon House vases, lot 91 in this sale.
