Consisting of a cluster of ginkgo nuts; an awabi shell resting on three bivalves, one surmounted by a small rat; a large bamboo shoot (takenoko); the Daoist immortal Gama sennin portrayed as a lame beggar; a fox in the guise of a traveling monk; an immortal wearing a wide-brimmed hat; and a Chinese luohan seated with a dragon emerging from his alms bowl;together with a 18th/19th Century curved section of lotus root tapering to one end, possible marine or mastodon ivory (wear).
