Two small Satsuma style earthenware vases
Meiji Period

The first an amphora of ovoid form, the rim rising in two points from the narrow waisted neck and bracketed by rectangular handles, decorated in polychrome enamels and gilt with profuse flowers divided by a brocade band, with floral and brocade patterns to the sloping shoulder below bead and coin bands around the neck, signed Kinkozan zo in gilt and impressed marks to the recessed base; the second of oval form decorated in polychrome enamels and gold with a continuous mountain landscape between gold bands at the rolled rim and above the base, signed Kinkozan zo [Konen] ga.
