Meiji/Taisho Period
Decorated in polychrome enamels and gilt, the scallop-rimmed dish centered by a large peony blossom molded in low relief against a patterned ground further enlivened with blossoms and butterflies, the exterior bearing phoenix and paulownia in underglaze blue separated by auspicious symbols in iron brown; signed Ko to the recessed base.
