Two hardstone-mounted cloisonné enameled metal boxes

Republic Period
Both of rectangular form, the first enameled with brightly colored dragons and flaming pearls on a blue ground, its removable cover mounted with a reticulated jade oval plaque depicting a phoenix amid peony plants; the second covered in pale green enamel, its hinged cover centered with a hardstone roundel of flower heads and leaves.
