The titanium mineral rutile can occur as golden needles inclusions in quartz. It is popularly known as "fleche d'amour," or "Venus's hair stone" due to the resemblance of the rutiles to “Cupid’s arrows”. This unique and creatively designed pendant features a large drop-shaped rutilated quartz from Brazil of high clarity with numerous golden rutile needle inclusions, weighing approximately 135 carats, surmounted by an 18K rose gold lizard, pavé-set with brilliant-cut fancy yellow diamonds, weighing approximately 0.60 carats, while the 18K white gold frame is pavé-set with brilliant-cut diamonds, weighing a total of approximately 2.50 carats of brilliant-cut diamonds, suspended from a rubber choker necklace, completed by a lobster claw clasp, length 15in.
