Mozambique
Around 2004 a discovery of alluvial tourmalines in Mozambique produced these interesting "copper bearing" tourmalines from which a whole new palette of hues emerged. The present oval-cut stone displays a very pleasant violet-lavender hue as well as excellent luster, allowing it to serve well as an excellent ring-sized stone. Weighing approximately 8.07 carats and measuring 13.6 x 11.5 x 8.1mm
