Each dressed in the traditional garb of the Incas, the larger one a female figure, hand-made of silver with gold vermeil trimmings, with inlaid adornments to the tunic and ears of purple and red red spiny oyster and yellow mother-of-pearl, holding up a chalice offering to the gods of three mineral crystals, height 8 ½ in.; together with a second figure of silver and vermeil, a male messenger, blowing a warning on a gilded conch shell, also having inlaid purple spiny oyster and mother-of-pearl to his tunic and headdress, height 6in, each stamped Peru, 950. Total combined weight 13.01 ozt. (2)
