3rd (King's Own) Hussars Officer's Full Dress Tunic

A fine and scarce example showing the officer's promotion to Field Rank during the period 1901-1904. Blue cloth edged all round with gold gimp, the breast with 6 loops of gold chain gimp with caps and drops fastening, with gold work olivets (one detached but present), the scarlet collar edged with gold lace and further ornamented with gold Major's rank lace, the cuff fully ornamented with a Major's gold rank lace. Shoulder boards with K/C crown rank badges, a pair of cavalry officer's navy blue overalls with broad yellow cloth seams, a pair of infantry officer's overalls. An officer's gold lace pouch belt the tip buckle and slide in gilt metal, ornamenented with King's crowns (probably Gentleman's at Arms). The lining of the tunic part perished. (4)
