A rare Meissen saucer

circa 1730
Painted in iron-red monochrome with a Kauffahrtei scene of merchants and their wares by a quayside, within a gilt quatrelobe cartouche embellished with iron-red foliate scrollwork and trellis panels, gilt scrollwork border to rim, 12.9cm diam., crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, gilt numeral 8
