Painted in Famille verte style with a phoenix and butterflies above peonies and other flowers, within a brocade band with chrysanthemums, reserved with panels painted with butterflies, the gilt-edged rim moulded with basketwork panels, 25.1cm diam., crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, painter's mark S in iron-red, impressed 21
