A Meissen plate

circa 1740
Painted in Imari style in underglaze-blue, enamels and gilding, a flower vase in the centre flanked by fences, enclosed by a broad band of foliage and flowers reserved with three quatrelobe panels with landscape vignettes, alternating with pomegranate medallions, the reverse with scrolling foliage and flowers, 24.2cm diam., crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, impressed 69
