Superbly painted with Kauffahrtei scenes of merchants and their wares by a quayside, on each side of the beaker within a quatrelobe gilt scrollwork cartouche, the scene on the saucer within a more elaborate cartouche embellished with trellis panels filled with Böttger lustre and edged with iron-red and purple foliate scrollwork, the rims with gilt formal basketwork borders, the ear-shaped handles edged in gilding, the beaker: 6.8cm high, the saucer:12.9cm diam., crossed swords marks in underglaze-blue (2)
