Eleven Target Bows By Provincial Makers
19th Century And Later

Comprising two stamped 'Ainsworth, Walton, Preston', 26 and 42 lbs. respectively, both with grip bound with baize ribbon, and horn nocks (splits and repairs); three by 'C. Dowsen', 44, 42 and 40 lbs., painted with owner's initials, and each with velvet-covered or baize ribbon grips (one split, with minor repair and missing a nock); three signed 'Keasey-Ullsick', 44, 47 and 50 lbs, two painted with owner's initials 'P.A.P.M.', one also with owner's name 'Dr. MacKenzie R.C.A.', and one stamped 'Roy King, Blackpool', all with mother-of-pearl inlay, and bound grips (splits and repairs); another, 26 lbs., and with grip bound with baize cord; another, with mother-of-pearl inlay, and velvet-covered grip (one nock missing); and another of plain wood and perhaps early in date (wormed, repaired, nocks missing)(11)
