A Silver-Mounted Dagger
Late 17th Century, Probably English

With sharply tapering double-edged blade of flattened slightly hollowed diamond section, the forte on each side struck with a 'Y' mark, a star above, hilt comprising silver button quillons fitting flush with a silver ferrule, embossed silver pommel-cap with button, and tapering ivory grip of circular section swelling at the pommel, in later brown leather scabbard with silver locket and chape, the former with frog-button
