A Fine Early Dagger
Late 15th/Early 16th Century

In excavated condition, with sharply tapering single-edged blade of triangular section, brass hilt comprising short waisted faceted quillons with hoof-shaped terminals, a downbent shell-guard between, 'pineapple' grip of tapering circular section, and cap-shaped pommel with incised line decoration
