With slightly swamped barrels retaining nearly all their original blued finish and decorated with panels of gold-damascened scrolls and strapwork on the rib, the breeches, and around the silver fore-sight, the rib signed in gold letters, gilt touch-holes, engraved tangs grooved for sighting, signed engraved flat bevelled lock-plates, engraved cocks and steels (one cock expertly replaced), moulded figured walnut full stocks carved in relief with a spray of foliage to the rear of each barrel tang and rear ramrod-pipe, and with a pendant tassel behind each breech, engraved iron mounts, the trigger-guards decorated with scrolls and strapwork centred on an expanded flower-head, and each with chiselled acanthus finial supported by a lion-mask, the spurred pommels each with oval cap chiselled in low relief with a differing portrait bust of Minerva, faceted ramrod-pipes, and original ramrods (2)
