An 80-Bore Under-Hammer Six-Shot Percussion Pepperbox Revolver

With refinished fluted barrels engraved at the muzzles and numbered from '1' to '6' at the breeches (one nipple replaced), border engraved rounded white-metal action and butt decorated with scrolling foliage, the former signed in full on a scroll on one side and inscribed 'Improved Patent' on a scroll on the other, the latter with pivoting ovoidal butt-trap cover engraved with scrolling foliage on a flat oval at the bottom, blued thumbpiece safety-stop, ring-trigger, and varnished figured rounded grips, London proof marks

Probably by Joseph Reilly who was in business with his son Edward at 502 Oxford Street between 1848-60. Edward was a renowned air gun and air cane maker and published A Treatise on Air Guns in about 1850
